  Do you let spiders live in your home?

  i have one or two little spiders that i noticed living in my home... but i don't get rid of them hoping that they will keep the other bugs out.. does anyone else do this?.

  My Grampy always told me that if you kill a spider you'll make it rain. So I tend to be friendlier to the eight legged house guests we sometimes find.
  
  I have been known to scoop the little guys up and take them outside.Unwanted 2 legged visitors on the other hand might find themselves at the business end of a sword!
  
  Sheila though tends to rule with an iron foot!

  Water softner ?????

  any one have a water softening system in their home?

  i just installed one here and am not sure what to expect as far as operation is concerned.

  it has been going on and off for an hour now.

  What about the potassium chloride pellets? I understand they work as well and drinking is not a concern.

  Well it finally shut up and all seems fine. I had to install it in a closet.
  DRW, what type of salt do you use in yours?

  Does anyone remember Steve Martin's song the one with the line "put a live chicke nin your underwear".
  
  Here is what I do remember so far.
  
  Be curteous kind and forgiving.
  Be gentel and peaceful each day.
  Be honest and love all your neighbors.
  Have a good thing to say.
  Be thoughtfull and trustful and child like.
  Be witty and happy and wise.
  Put a live chicken in your underwear.
  Be oblong and have your knees removed.
  
  There's also a line about being obsequetious purple and clairvoyant.....
  
  Can anyone add to this????
